At Distex, every refurbished phone, tablet, laptop, console and other device we sell goes through our grading process so you know exactly what you're getting before you buy. This page explains each grade — Sealed, A, B and C — what to expect from each, and the warranty that comes with every purchase.

The Four Grades

🆕 Sealed / Unused

Brand new devices that have never been opened or used. They arrive sealed in their original manufacturer packaging, untouched. Perfect for buyers who want a like-new device but at a more competitive price than full retail.

What to expect: Pristine condition. No marks of any kind. Original Apple or manufacturer packaging.

🌟 Grade A (Like New)

Excellent condition devices that have been used but show very little to no visible signs of wear. To the naked eye, these are practically indistinguishable from new.

What to expect: No more than minor cosmetic marks, if any. Screen and body in pristine or near-pristine state. Fully working with all features tested.

⭐ Grade B (Good)

Good condition devices that show small signs of normal use. There may be light dents, scratches or marks visible up close, but the device is fully functional and looks well-cared-for from a normal viewing distance. This is our most popular grade — the sweet spot of value and condition.

What to expect: Minor visible cosmetic imperfections. Small dents, scratches or marks on the casing. Screen typically in good condition. All features tested and working.

✅ Grade C (Average)

Heavily-used condition devices with visible wear, but fully working. These devices may have more pronounced scratches, dents or scuffs across the casing or screen, but they're 100% functional and still backed by our full warranty. Best value for buyers who prioritise functionality over appearance.

What to expect: Noticeable cosmetic wear. May have multiple dents, scratches or scuffs. Functionality unaffected — all features tested and working.

What Comes With Every Device

12-Month Warranty

Every device we sell, regardless of grade, comes with our comprehensive 12-month warranty. If something stops working as it should during that period, we'll repair or replace it at our expense.

Tested Before Dispatch

Every refurbished device passes our testing process before being listed and shipped. We check battery health, screen functionality, speakers, microphones, cameras, charging, connectivity and all other major features.

Original Accessories Where Available

Devices include the original charging cable, controller or box where we have them in stock. Where specific original accessories aren't available, we'll supply equivalent replacements so your device is ready to use out of the box.

How Do I Choose the Right Grade?

Want it to look new? Choose Sealed or Grade A.

Want a working device at a great price, happy with minor signs of use? Grade B is the sweet spot — our most popular choice.

On a budget and don't mind visible wear? Grade C offers the same functionality at the lowest price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all grades come with the same warranty?

Yes. Every device — Sealed, Grade A, B or C — is covered by our 12-month warranty.

Are Grade B and Grade C devices safe to use?

Absolutely. All grades are fully tested and functionally identical. The differences between them are purely cosmetic.

Will my device come with the original box?

We include the original box and accessories where available. Sealed and Grade A devices are most likely to come with original packaging. Grade B and C may or may not, depending on stock at the time.

Can I see photos of the actual device before buying?

Each product listing shows representative photos of the model and grade. If you want to see the specific unit before it ships, contact us and we'll arrange it.
