From an environmental standpoint it's also significantly less wasteful than upgrading. Most batteries we replace return the device to near-original performance.
How It Works

- We diagnose. If you're not sure whether it's the battery or something else (like a faulty charging port), we'll check first so you only pay for what you actually need.
- We replace. iPhone batteries are usually swapped in under an hour. Samsung, tablet and laptop batteries take longer due to the disassembly involved.
- 12-month warranty. Every battery replacement is covered for 12 months from the day of repair.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my iPhone battery needs replacing?
Check Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging. If "Maximum Capacity" reads under 80%, Apple themselves recommend a replacement. You may also see a "Service" message under Peak Performance Capability. If you're seeing random shutdowns, fast drain or slow charging, it's almost certainly the battery.
How long does iPhone battery replacement take?
Most iPhone battery replacements are done in under an hour while you wait. Older models (iPhone 8, X, 11) are typically quickest. Pop into the shop in Thurcroft or call ahead so we can have the right battery ready.
Will I lose my photos or data?
No. A battery replacement does not affect your phone's storage. Your photos, apps, messages and settings stay exactly as they were.
Are the batteries genuine?
For Samsung phones we fit genuine Samsung batteries only — we don't compromise on Samsung battery quality because the aftermarket alternatives can be unreliable. For iPhones we use high-quality replacement batteries that match the original capacity, performance and safety standards.
Will I see an "Important Battery Message" after a third-party replacement?
On iPhones from the iPhone XS onwards, Apple's diagnostic system detects third-party batteries and shows an "Important Battery Message" in Settings → General → About → Parts and Service. This is a transparency notification from Apple — it does not affect how your phone works. Your battery still charges, discharges and performs exactly as it should. The only practical difference is that Battery Health may not display in iOS settings. If you'd prefer to avoid the notification entirely, choose a genuine Apple battery replacement — let us know and we'll quote accordingly.
Does replacing the battery void my manufacturer warranty?
If your device is still under Apple, Samsung or another manufacturer warranty, any third-party battery replacement typically voids it. We offer our own 12-month warranty on the replacement battery and the work itself, which covers you instead.
What if my battery is swollen?
Stop using the device and contact us as soon as possible. Swollen batteries are a fire and safety risk — they should not be punctured, charged or stored near heat. We can safely remove and dispose of swollen batteries and fit a new one. Do not attempt to remove a swollen battery yourself.
How long will my new battery last?
A new battery should give you another two to three years of normal use before degradation becomes noticeable. Modern lithium-ion batteries last around 500 to 800 full charge cycles before capacity meaningfully drops.
Can I send my device by post for battery replacement?
Yes. If you can't make it to our shop, contact us and we'll arrange postal repair. We'll send you packaging instructions and a quote, and return your device once the work is complete.
